Let’s get this out of the way first: I am a terrible salesperson. For myself, that is. I can sell anything for someone else if I believe in it, but when it comes to promoting my own work, I am very uncomfortable. And consequently, I’m bad at it.
But I have this new book coming out, and I really do think it’s wonderful. My husband says it’s the best thing I’ve ever written, but he kind of has to say that, doesn’t he.
Still, I feel like it’s my duty to tell you about Mythic Plants, and to let you know that Tertulia is offering a 25% off deal for pre-orders. They also have a 50% off deal, but there are strings attached to that one.
This link will take you to the Tertulia website and the first thing you’ll see is that the book is 50% off if you sign up for a 30-day free membership. (Those are the attached strings I mentioned above. It also has to be the first time you’ve ordered from Tertulia.) If this is what you want, great! Click on “Preorder,” then select “Start you free trial now.” Next, click on “Check Out” and you’ll see the price is $11 with free shipping. Such a deal.
But personally, I don’t like those kinds of strings. (See what I mean about being a terrible salesperson?) With the 25% off offer you pay shipping, which brings the total to $20.50 (before tax). Just click on “Preorder,” and on the next page, select “Continue without member benefits.” Next, click on “Check Out,” then again on “Check Out” (dear god this is interminable), then enter MYTHIC on the right where it asks for the discount code. Is it worth all this when you could buy it for $.04 less and one click with Amazon Prime?
I don’t know. But I’m often asked for alternatives to Amazon, so there you go. Along with my apologies for this long and very boring sales pitch. I feel dead inside.
In an effort to make everyone feel better, here’s a video:
